How Client-Side PDF Splitting & Page Extraction Works
Client-Side PDF Splitter & Page Extractor runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. There is no sign-up, and whatever you type or open here is processed on your device instead of being sent to a server.
Split PDF Documents and Extract Pages Locally
Extract specific page ranges (e.g. 1-3, 5, 8-12) or split multi-page documents into individual files directly in browser memory. Many online PDF splitters process files on their own servers; this tool processes PDFs 100% on-device, so confidential legal contracts and medical records stay on your computer.
No Arbitrary File Size or Page Count Caps
Because files are processed locally by client-side JavaScript rather than uploaded over slow broadband connections, there are no artificial file upload limits. You can split large manuals and books as long as your device has sufficient RAM. Very long documents take a little longer to show, because a small picture is drawn for every page.
Set Scanned Pages Upright Before Splitting
Multi-page scans often contain a landscape table or a page fed in upside down. Before you extract or split, the ↺ and ↻ buttons under each page picture turn that page 90° at a time, on top of any rotation it already had. The pictures and the larger page view (🔍) show each page the way it will be saved in the split files. Only the page's rotation setting changes, so its text stays selectable and scanned images are not recompressed.
Clean Output Files Without Watermarks
Extracted PDF pages preserve vector graphics, high-resolution photos, and selectable text layers cleanly, with zero promotional stamps or watermarks added. Each new file is built from the page contents only, so bookmarks, fillable form fields and digital signatures from the original may not carry over.
Why processing in your browser matters
Many online tools upload your files or text to a server to process them. This one does the work on your computer or phone, so your data is not sent to us or stored anywhere else. That lowers the risk when you work with confidential material, although you should still follow your organisation's own rules. Read how this works in our Privacy Policy.
- No uploads: files are opened and saved on your device, so there is no upload or download wait.
