How the Import Works
The tool reads the text layer of a PDF, the text of a Word .docx file or plain text, then looks for common headings such as Experience, Education and Skills and for patterns like e-mail addresses, phone numbers and date ranges. Scanned PDFs have no text layer and cannot be read; fill in the form by hand instead.

Begin every work experience bullet with an action verb and include a result, ideally a number ("reduced invoice errors by 30%"). List the skills from the job advert that you really have, and keep the CV to two pages or fewer.
