How In-Browser PDF Text Stamping Works
Add Text to PDF (Stamp, Watermark or Date) runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. There is no sign-up, and whatever you type or open here is processed on your device instead of being sent to a server.
Stamp Text, Dates and Notes on PDF Documents Privately
Add text annotations, dates, reference codes, or custom watermarks to PDF pages directly in your browser memory. Processing runs 100% on-device, keeping confidential invoices, tax forms, and official applications completely off external servers.
Preset Positions, Angles, Size and Colour
Choose where the stamp goes from seven positions: top left, centre or right, the middle of the page, or bottom left, centre or right, and turn it to one of six angles. Set the font size (4 to 200 pt) and the colour (red, blue, black or gray), or stamp a PNG or JPG logo instead. The page preview shows the stamp where it will be saved, and Preview lets you page through the whole stamped file before downloading.
Right Sideways Pages Before Stamping
Positions are measured on the page as you see it. Right a sideways page with ↺ or ↻ before stamping, or leave a scan that a PDF viewer already shows the right way up: either way the watermark, date or logo seal lands upright in the chosen corner, and the page's new orientation is saved in the PDF.
Export Clean PDFs Without Third-Party Branding
Download stamped PDFs with crisp vector text layers embedded directly into the document structure, free of third-party advertisements or trial watermarks. The text uses the standard Helvetica Bold font, so emoji and letters outside the Latin alphabets are replaced, and the button tells you when that happens.
Why processing in your browser matters
Many online tools upload your files or text to a server to process them. This one does the work on your computer or phone, so your data is not sent to us or stored anywhere else. That lowers the risk when you work with confidential material, although you should still follow your organisation's own rules. Read how this works in our Privacy Policy.
- No uploads: files are opened and saved on your device, so there is no upload or download wait.
- No account: nothing to sign up for or install.
- Free to use: no subscriptions or paywalls.
