Why DigitalFreeTools exists

Simple everyday tasks such as formatting JSON, testing a regex, splitting rent or merging two PDFs are often hidden behind paywalls, sign-up forms or tools that upload your files to a server. DigitalFreeTools does these jobs in your browser, for free, without an account.

How it works

Each tool is a web application with JavaScript that does the work on your own device. Files are opened and saved locally, and the site's security policy blocks pages from sending data to other websites. Every tool is checked by an automated browser test suite that compares its output with known correct results, for example hashes from Python's bcrypt, PDFs rebuilt page by page, and invoice totals to the cent. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.
